FROM INLAND


Proceed on the N3 until the Toll Gate Bridge. Take the turnoff immediately before the Tollgate Bridge (M13 Ridge Road, Berea) or the one immediately after. (M13 Berea Road, Berea) Proceed down Berea Road (now Dinuzulu Road)(The road parallel to the N3). Turn left into Botanic Gardens Road (Immediately before the Technikon) and follow this road through the avenue of palm trees until Sydenham Road (now John Sikhali). Turn right into Sydenham (M15 City Centre) which will take you to the South side of Greyville. If you have parking tickets in your possession continue along Sydenham keeping Greyville Racecourse on your left. Sydenham becomes Dartnell (now Gladys Manzi) and then Mitchell Road (also Gladys Manzi):

• Holders of pre-purchased
golf course PUBLIC PARKING tickets - turn left into DLI Avenue (under subway/bridge).
• Holders of GOLD CIRCLE / ROYAL DURBAN MEMBERS PARKING tickets - continue straight and join the back of the queue of cars  for the Members Parking entrance - Gate 16 - which is located just past the avenue of trees.

FROM SOUTH COAST

Take the M4 freeway towards Durban. As you near the city take the Che Guevara Road (previously Moore Road)/ Berea turnoff. Proceed straight up Che Guevara Road. (DO NOT TAKE THE RIGHT HAND FORK) Turn right at Cleaver (M8 Morningside) which becomes Botanic Gardens Road. Follow this road through the avenue of palm trees until Sydenham Road (now John Sikhali). Turn right into Sydenham (M15 City Centre) which will take you to the South side of Greyville. If you have parking tickets in your possession continue along Sydenham keeping Greyville Racecourse on your left. Sydenham becomes Dartnell (now Gladys Manzi) and then Mitchell Road (also Gladys Manzi):

• Holders of pre-purchased golf course PUBLIC PARKING tickets - turn left into DLI Avenue (under subway/bridge).
• Holders of GOLD CIRCLE / ROYAL DURBAN MEMBERS PARKING tickets - continue straight and join the back of the queue of cars for the Members Parking entrance - Gate 16 - which is located just past the avenue of trees.

Alternatively take the N2 north from near the old Durban International Airport. At the “Spaghetti Junction” take the fly off to the N3 to Durban. Then follow the directions for FROM INLAND above.

FROM NORTH COAST – Coastal Route

Take the M4 freeway towards Durban. At the robot at the end of the freeway turn right into Argyle Road (now Sandile Thusi) M17 Berea. Turn left before the Caltex Petrol Station into Windemere Road (now Lillian Ngoyi) and proceed around the circle into Mitchell Road (now Gladys Manzi) (Greyville Racecourse will now be on your right).

• Holders of pre-purchased golf course PUBLIC PARKING tickets - proceed to the robot and turn right into DLI Avenue (under subway/bridge)
• Holders of GOLD CIRCLE / ROYAL DURBAN MEMBERS PARKING tickets - proceed in a southerly direction keeping Greyville Racecourse on your right until a break in the island enables you to join the back of the queue of cars facing north. The Members Parking entrance - Gate 16 - is located just past the avenue of trees.

Another option for holders of pre-purchased PUBLIC PARKING tickets arriving from the north is to proceed straight from the M4 along Stanger Street (now Stalwart Simelane Street), right into Ordnance Road (now Bram Fischer), right at the green sign that says R102 Umgeni Road (at this point keep towards the left side of the road) which becomes Albert Street (now Ingcuce), straight into Epsom Road, straight into DLI Avenue.

FROM KING SHAKA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

Take the N2 towards Durban. At the “Spaghetti Junction” take the fly off to the N3 Pietermaritzburg, Johannesburg, Durban. Keep in the left-hand lane and take the N3 Durban split. Then follow the directions for FROM INLAND above.

PARKING
In order to ensure swift access to the infield parking areas on Vodacom Durban July Day it is essential that the following is noted and adhered to.

PUBLIC PARKING on the golf course  – R50 PER CAR – GATES 17 & 18
PARKING TICKET WITH LIGHT BLUE BORDER
ENTRY OFF DLI AVENUE, FROM CITY SIDE ONLY

ALL Parking Tickets to this area must be pre-purchased from Greyville Racecourse before 17h00 on 6 July. The parking area on the Golf Course can only take a set number of cars and only this number of Parking Tickets will be sold. If you do not have a Parking Ticket for this area PLEASE do not attempt to access this area as Parking Tickets will NOT be sold on Vodacom Durban July day.

Entry to this parking area is off DLI Avenue from the City side ONLY. DLI Avenue will be closed to through traffic for the duration of the raceday. The parking area has been divided into parking cells and each cell will be parked until full before the next is opened. Please therefore proceed swiftly to the parking area that you are directed to.

MEMBERS PARKING - GATE 16 – Gold Circle & Royal Durban Members
PARKING TICKET WITH ORANGE BORDER
THE ACCESS POINT FOR THIS AREA IS OVER THE ROAD FROM THE OLD
W. DALY’S BUILDING (Palm trees on pavement) IN MITCHELL ROAD (now Gladys Manzi) AT APPROXIMATELY THE 2450 METRE MARK. THIS IS THE ONLY ACCESS TO THIS AREA.

A queue will be formed in Mitchell Road (now Gladys Manzi) on the Northbound side. If you are approaching from the North proceed along Mitchell Road (now Gladys Manzi) towards the City to the first break in the island which will enable you to perform a U-turn and join the queue.
All parking and traffic procedures will be under the strict control of the Metro Police Force, the S A Police and the Event Private Security and you are urged to co-operate fully with them.

PLEASE :-
• Be patient when approaching Greyville Racecourse.
• Have your parking ticket ready to show the Police, Security or Parking Attendant.
• Listen to members of the Police Force.
• Follow the appropriate signs.
• Once inside the golf course please park where directed in order to avoid blocking pre-planned thoroughfares.
